A 16 year veteran of the Malaysian media industry, JT has been at IPG Malaysia since 2011 when he was hired to start up their OOH media specialist team. Recently relaunched as Rapport Malaysia, he continues to lead a talented team who strives to provide effective OOH solutions to meet clients’ communication needs.

 

Driven by his passion for innovation, he has been responsible for some of the most technologically advanced Outdoor campaigns in Malaysia. He is responsible for the first ever Augmented Reality out-of-home digital billboard campaign (F&N Fun Flavours) and a MSA Gold winning interactive kiosk activation (KFC Zinger).

 

As an Outdoor evangelist, he continues to advocate the use of OOH beyond its traditional static means, believing in its power to engage consumers in real-life public environments to heighten the brand experience. He also foresees OOH presenting blue ocean opportunities with the marriage of digital OOH and Mobile technology.

 

His years in media planning at Mindshare Malaysia enabled him to develop a strong understanding of integrated communications. This experience enables him to see the big picture and to conceptualise OOH plans that are able to complement and amplify the overall advertising campaign.

Described as the total Outdoor expert, JT has been involved in supply chain management, site development and operational matters during his time at Big Tree Outdoor, Malaysia’s biggest OOH media owner. He also has solid understanding of in-store advertising as he managed the in-store advertising concession for Tesco Malaysia.

 

His client experience cuts across a variety of categories and includes blue chip brands like Nestle, Nike, H&M, KFC, Volvo, TM, Maxis, Maybank & AIA.
