Axton Salim is director of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (Indofood), a leading Indonesian food company with operations spanning from the production of raw materials and their processing, to consumer products in the market. He has held a broad range of leadership roles in Indofood and its subsidiaries, where he started as marketing manager of the snack food division, PT Indofood Fritolay Makmur, in 2004. He currently also serves as director of Indofood’s Consumer Branded Products business group, PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP), which manufactures and markets a diverse range of consumer products including noodles, dairy, snack foods, food seasonings, nutrition and special foods, and beverages, and has brands such as Indomie, Pop Mie, Indomilk, Indoeskrim, Chitato, Promina, Bimoli, and many others. He took responsibility as head of the Dairy Division in 2008 and currently also serves as head of Corporate Marketing.

Salim is also currently a director at Indofood Agri Resources Ltd. He served as Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) council member from May 2012 to May 2014. He also served as Scaling Up Nutrition Business Network (SBN) advisory board since February 2014 and was appointed as global cochair of SBN in September 2014. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Colorado.
