Prior to becoming Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) leader, Makmur pursued his career as an auditor at  public accounting firm & private company in Indonesia. Several years later, Makmur continued his leadership career as Head of Finance and Accounting Department, then as a  Branch Manager at PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales, where he supervised dealer performance and target achievement.

Brand-new and challenging conditions did not discourage his enthusiasm for learning. Makmur then expanded his marketing and sales role for more than 25 years in the automotive industry. His background and substantial experience track record helped him become the Chief Operating Officer at PT Suzuki Finance Indonesia.

Furthermore, in 2020, Makmur continued his leadership with PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) as Chief Operating Officer. Makmur has the vision to bring HMID to be a game-changer in the Indonesian automotive industry.
