David is an Indonesian Creative Director based in New York City.
His journey in the creative world ironically began in science.
After receiving 2 science-based scholarships from the Singapore
government, he decided to give it all up in favor of pursuing the
arts. Within one year in the industry, his work attained
international acclaim, including the coveted D&AD Yellow
Pencil.
In his second year, he was invited to judge at the D&AD Awards in London, making him the first Indonesian and one of the youngest ever to receive the honor, at the age of 27. Since then, his works have picked up multiple golds at every major global award show. He has worked on major global accounts such as Samsung, McDonald's, BMW, Coke, Tide, Downy, among others, across Singapore, Chicago and New York.
