Ed opened the Asia Pacific office for WARC in Singapore at the start of 2011, introducing the world’s most comprehensive marketing intelligence service to the region. Since then, the company has experienced rapid expansion, spearheading new content initiatives such as the WARC Awards for Asian Strategy.

In 2019, WARC extended its reach with the launch of WARC.CN, establishing a dedicated team in Shanghai. Throughout the preceding year, strategic partnerships were forged in pivotal markets to foster accelerated growth. In October 2021, Ed assumed the additional responsibility of VP Advisory, overseeing WARC’s global advisory practice.

With a background in agencies, Ed previously served as Managing Director of Bates in Singapore, where he led interdisciplinary teams in crafting campaigns for prominent brands including Sony, Heineken, Nokia, and the Singapore Pavilion at the World Expo in Shanghai. Prior to his tenure in Singapore, Ed spent 14 years in London at Rainey Kelly/Y&R, culminating in his role as Global Business Director for Land Rover, where he directed integrated teams in executing launch campaigns worldwide.

Recognized for his commitment to effective communication, Ed has garnered numerous awards throughout his career, including Effies for Sony and the Anti-Drugs campaign in Singapore. He has also served as a judge for prestigious industry awards such as the Singapore Effies, Australia APG, and MMA APAC, assuming the role of Jury Chair for the latter in 2022.

Ed is a passionate advocate for insightful analysis and strategic thinking, frequently sharing WARC’s expertise at marketing conferences throughout the Asia Pacific region.
